I don't even know if anyone checks these boards anymore, but NBC announced today that Heroes has not been picked up for another season. It's cancelled.

Very sad indeed.  Cry I never stopped loving the podcast, and the forums were a constant source of enjoyment for me. I loved hearing the opinions of others on one of my favorite shows, which was something that I hadn't been accustomed to previously. I wish everybody the best in any future projects.

I agree w/ Helix9 in more ways than one!....

As a part-time contributor, who couldn't always make it to scheduled recordings (ah.... life! it gets in the way of geekiness ;-), I would LOVE listening to roundtables. It was like I was sitting at the dinner table w/ friends. Almost able to contribute in the conversation; yet certainly breaking bread with friends.

Usually, it was a downloaded podcast, listened to on my car radio (plugged-in iPod) on long, solo-trips. Made the journeys easy!

Looking forward to any project(s) w/ the 9th crew.

May you all do well, and thanks Miranda and company for everything. I'll always listen to the old roundtables every once in a while for some good laughs. I'm glad I got a voicemail into the show before it was too late.

Live long and prosper!

I'm not surprised sadly. It certainly can't help that anymore a Heroes fan on the intertubes is about as popular as a German tourist in Tel Aviv. Cry

The message we all kind of knew was coming and were dreading the day it arrived. Thanks to all of you for all the hard work you put in to the podcast. It was so much fun to listen to and I'll miss it after every future Heroes episode.
All the best in the future!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  Cry Shocked

Seriously, I am sorry for your losses M, especially since they compounded on you and yours, and so life ends up putting things is a perspective and that often takes time.

Been there, done that, have the emotional scars and the tears stained face to prove it.

I makes me wish that much more that I could have contributed, but unfortunately I don't have the hardware, finances, or previous experiences to carry the torch on for you.

Each podcast was a gift, and being the only one of my circle of friends who watched and liked heroes, you guys and the people were the next best thing to sitting around with some friends and discussing the shows. The only difference is that no matter how loud I argued, you didn't hear me.  Maybe that was for the best. Wink

I sincerely hope you do return to podcasting someday in the near future, because I have been missing the shows since I realized they weren't coming out.

Hi everyone,

First of all, let me apologize for taking so long to post this message and let everyone know what is going on.  I had hopes that someone would take over for me and run the show, but alas there is not enough interest in continuing.

As of now this podcast is officially off the air.  We have had a great time sharing our Heroes thoughts and opinions with all of you and hearing your replies was awesome.

Thank you to Joe, for co-hosting and getting us a few great interviews - most especially with the man that inspired my original love for the show Greg Grunberg.

Thank you to Jeff, who stepped up to help whenever he could, sometimes to the point of staying up in the wee hours of the morning to post the new episodes on Monday mornings.

Thank you to Mark, our encaffeinated one, who needed that caffeine to stay up late at night to host many a roundtable!

Thank you to Laura, my girlie partner in crime, she was always willing to lend a hand where it was needed and made the show much more enjoyable with her laughter.

Thank you to Gerry, our Puerto Rican compadre, he edited his heart out even though it meant losing sleep and his contributions were sorely missed when he got his great new job!

Thank you to Tim, in Houston, for taking over the news and making it your own.

Thank you to Kim, Rick, Ray, and David, for all that you did to help keep the boat afloat, I am sorry that we couldn't keep it from sinking like the Titanic.

The 9th Heroescast was a labor of love for all of us and I am very sad to see it go.  There were some outside events in my life that took me away from this show and I regret not being able to handle all of it and keep the show together.  For those that don't know, last September my 17 year old sister died from complications from a "routine" heart surgery and it devastated me.  Then in December, my grandmother and neighbor (she lived across the street from me) succumbed to the illnesses that had been plaguing her for the last two years.  Loss is never an excuse to stop living, but in this case I felt other things were more important than maintaining the podcast.

Thank you to all of you who listened and participated, it was a great run while it lasted.  I hope that each of you feel empowered to start your own show and watch it grow.  There is nothing more satisfying than to bring joy to other people, be it in person, or in this case on the internet.

I wish you all the best and hope that you will find other casts to fill the hours we have vacated.

Love and Hugs to you all,
Miranda
