OK guys this is your time to brag about calling something. lol With the finale on our heels and judging the season so far. Do you think the finale will be good? Those of you that disliked the last finale,do you think this one will "top" it?

My call? They seem to still have so much to cover and I don't see how they'll do it in 45 min. But I guess that's the point now isn't it. Not answering everything, answering some, ending others, and leaving up with a cliffhanger to kill up on the edge of our seat. I think it's going to be pretty good. The last two shows have really picked up. So I think the hammer will be dropped and there will be things that will Wow us.

I would like to see Peter and Sylar cross paths one more time but I think they'll hold off on that for now. It will be good but I'm not expecting a big, climatic, mega, Michael Bay,big explosion, episode of Heroes. But,I think it will be good and leave us with a few things to talk about once it's over.

I predict, don't want mind you, that Nikki will get killed off in the finale.
Heroes has got too many blondes anyway (Claire, & Elle (sorta))  Cheesy
They need to diversify more...like Lost (which has a couple of pretty blondes, a sexy brunette and a hot asian chick.

Question.   Is this the finale? or just the midseason cliffhanger episode?   Has it been written in stone, with the writers' strike and whatnot??

Most likely it is the season finale (i hate it when the word season isn't in front of that word, it scares me to even remotely think that it would be ending for good), however, there is a chance we could see Heroes return a little later than normal. Such a thing would be a "Godsend."

I believe Sylar will rise.

Molly will probably die, Sylar already tried for her once at the beginning of the series, and with her usefullness for anybody else wearing thin (All "heroes" tend to find each other anyway, in due time, and Parkman refuses to let her use her powers for him), that it is only natural Sylar would go for her again.

Maya will die, no one likes her, and if my Maya/Alejandro theory is correct, she has outlived her usefullness.

Australian TV is calling "Cautionary Tales" the season finale  Huh
The ratings period ended November 30th (It is now summer)

They are not showing Episodes 10 & 11 until mid February.

It doesn't worry me as I watch the show by other means  Wink
but imagine having HRG's death and resurrection as your hiatus cliff hanger.

I'd be going crazy wanting to know what's happening.

Having said all that I am happy that Australian TV is showing US programs much earlier.
(We got Season 2 episodes only 10 days after the US showing)
Normally we wouldn't have got any of Season 2 until mid February.

The reason they are doing it. Naughty people using BitTorrent  Wink

I hope that eventually we will get programs the same day as you or at least have the option of buying the episodes.

I think the season finale (If that's what this is) will be better than the 1st one, if only because the first season's finale was easily one of the worst episodes of Heroes so far, and therefore just law of averages says it'll be better. Smiley

Ha ha...
I didn't think it was the worst episode.
Personally, I didn't really like Company Man, nothing reallly happened.
I didn't dislike it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else.

Wow.  Company Man is one of my favorites.

And for the record, I didn't say the season 1 finale was the worst episode, just among them.  The last few episodes of season 1, actually, I didn't like, but watched them with anticipation of a great finale... which never happened.

Oh ok gotcha.

I kept hearing people talk about company man after cautionary tales, and I didn't remember what it was, but I went back and watched it... I guess I liked the episode, but not much story progression.
Which meant I had to wait another week for the story to progress at all, with four months ago, the story didn't progress, but it made one realize what was going on, and in that sense it did progress the story.

I guess that is my biggest thing.

It's why when I play Kingdom Hearts, I try to play it in a hurry, then go back sad that it is over so quickly...(when it is my fault)... lol...

Looking back on Company Man and why I enjoyed it so much. At that time I/alot of other fans weren't sure if Noah was good or evil. The Company Man episode answered that question and this was the downward spiral of all of HRG's sins coming back to bit him.  You see this man who believed he was doing a good thing and followed The Company blindly. He had a choice to make The Company vs. his family.  He was able to leave his work at the door. In that episode his work and sins rained down on him.

I thought it was a great episode because of the conflict and issues he needed to contend with. Noah was no longer this scary, guy that we wondered about. We saw a different side of him. To us, he was no longer a company man and because a family man.

The reason you didn't see any story progression in Company Man is because there wasn't. That was suppose to be a cap on alot of issues leading up to that episode.  If HRG was good or evil. His connection to Claude. His relationship with Claire which at the time was rocky. You had his sins teaming up to bite him. That being Matt,Ted,and a sprinkle of Hana.  Then there was the secret partnership of The Haitian and Claire being revealed.  It was centered around HRG and letting us as fans know that this man is not "The ultimate face of evil."

My fave scene is still when Claire walks out the house. Sure, the healing bit was great  but I'll never forget the part where she walks to her family and 'daddy' comforts his little girl.  Let's not forget that he took a bullet for Claire in order to protect her. That scene is just amazing to watch. I still get a lump in my throat whenever I watch it.

It's hard for me to decide which one was the best of the two. There were things in Cautionary Tales that I loved.  Maybe it's because I'm such a HRG-ite or something. But that episode was so good. You know it's a good ep when you see that "Go to the Heroes website" and you wanna scream. Okay,wait....give me about 20 more minutes of this.

I like Niki but I get a feeling this is it for her. We introduced this new family for Micah. So I get a feeling he'll end up living there which means Monica stays in the picture. If Monica dies I'm going to be livid. lol  Yeah, the YoSafBridge of Heroes might call it a day.

It's a long shot but I'm still betting on Mohinder. There is only so many times you can be naive and not have it fall on you. Claire did it and looked what happened. Mohinder has done it two or three times. For everybody who dislikes Maya. All I ask is to give her another chance. At one point people were calling Peter     emo and didn't like him. Now he's become pretty awesome because he's changed. Hey I was on the bandwagon all along. lol

Maya might become pretty interesting...if she lives long enough. I can't help but wonder if she'll sway Sylar to give up his evil, brain eating ways. Honestly, I hope it doesn't

I want to see Peter deal with Sylar properly. I want to see that fight that we never saw in the hallway.

Plus, how awesome would it be if Maya embraced her power and became evil along with Sylar. The Natural Born Killers of Heroes. Maya could go evil. Or as HRG would say...go native.

Would anyone dislike Maya is she did go evil and used her powers to kill people?  She did admit to not feeling too bad about killing Alejandro's wife.

I just don't like Maya in general.
Her personality, everything about her.

I love HRG too, he is my fave character, but a lot of Company Man repeated stuff I already thought was obvious, like how Peter keeps his powers (I figured it out after the 2nd episode, but my friends argued that he didn't keep them until WAY after that.)

Also, with Sylar: eating brains?
seriously?

I completely disagree with that. I believe he takes them and figures out how their powers work by studying them. After all wasn't he always the expert watch maker guy? the guy who's gears turned (in an onomatopoeia kinda way too!) and always seemed to figure out how things work, and how they should be "fixed."

I'm just one person that doesn't have a huge hate for her. Yeah she does cry and whine alot but who's to say that you'll be a strong person if you did what she did. If my powers kicked in and killed my entire family and I'm standing there knowing full well I killed them? I seriosuly doubt I'd say.

"Oh well. I killed them. I'll get over it." And skip along my merry little way only to do it again...and get over it just as quickly as I did when I killed my family."

I know people want her to stop crying. Heck, there were times I wanted to slap her. But if I was in her shoes, I'm not sure if I can just get over it and move on. I disliked West and he kind of grew on me. Same with Maya. That's not to say she's my fave new comer. I have to be honest, I would be a bit more upset of Monica dies and Maya lived.

The Sylar brain eating thing is a Heroes fan base joke. It's not a strong belief as much as it's a Heroes inside joke. It's gone so far as writers and even Zachary Quinto making the same joke that Sylar eats brains. The brain eating has been a much talked about topic on the old board. While he might not eat the brains the fact that he knows how things work doesn't make sense either. Lets say there is a portion of brain that has that chosen power. Sylar finds it. There has to be some way that the power is transfered.
The power transfer is the major issue with how it works.  If you're Rogue, you touch someone and obtain said ability. If you're Peter, just being around them is all he needs.  Sylar, has to physically do something with brains to acquire the power.

I honestly don't know how he gets them. If you see us refer to brain eating it's a joke rather than a theory.
The writers seem to go out of their way to not reveal how he's doing it which makes it worse. lol  Sylar's power is a wait and see for me. Call me sick but seeing him chomping down on brain would not disappoint me. So far writers and Laura's boyfriend aren't talking and seem to joke that he likes to snack on grey matter. lol

I didn't call Peter's power until he used Claire's power. The HRG one had me going for awhile. I knew he'd never hurt Claire but everyone else....I wasn't to sure.  When we saw Mohinder jump out that cab and run like his life was in danger I figured this man was someone to fear.

Noah was shady back then. When I realized that Claire was his daughter and got the krux of what he was doing I had a feeling he was a good..ummm kind of good guy. But it was moments when he did eye brow raising things. But more often than not I defended him and sometimes The Company. I'm not drinking the Kool aid like Mo but I can see why they're around.

But back to the Sylar question. I'm not sure. I figured his default power was knowing how things work. Which lead to a convo with my brother if Sylar was suppose to be like Forge.  I get that he can figure out how it works, but how does the power transfer?

Man you guys are harsh. Now they're dubbed Nikki and Paulo. Oh man you guys are hard on them. lol  I mean it's bitter, hatred for these two that's...wow. It's just shocking to see how hated they are.

Oh the crying thing?
That doesn't bother me.
I dunno why I don't like her, she just gets under my skin.
Kinda like Sylar, the look on his face, his voice, and the way he moves make me annoyed.

I always kinda believed that there are scientific reasons why people can do extradonary things, they are just unknown. I believe Sylar looks at the brain, sees how they do it, and does it himself. Like reading a manual about how to put together something, study it front and back, then when you try, you do it(provided it is a good manual), opposed to just ignoring the manual and trying to figure out how to put it together aimlessley.

Hmm.. the volume finale (not necessarily the season finale, and in no way the series finale!) is going to be, I think, interesting.

I was one of the people not so impressed by the end of Volume 1.  I think it had some series problems with the fight with Sylar.  The writers and producers know this, and I'm sure they wouldn't make the same mistakes twice...

I think Maya is going to figure Sylar out; I think that Sylar will figure out that he hasn't lost his powers at all, but has been actually fighting the Shanti virus all this time, his body adapting constantly to it; I think that Mohinder will end up freeing Sylar from his Shanti prison with the solution meant for Nikki;  Nikki will be the hero for Micah without her powers -- by allowing Jessica's training to help her;  Monica will watch Jessica in action and kick butt;  Hiro will give Peter his scar by slicing nearly through his head, incapacitating him long enough to confront Adam; Peter will jump through time with Hiro before Hiro can hurt Adam, to arrive in the desperate future (to save Caitlin); Sylar, having regained his powers, will destroy Maya without taking her powers (perhaps she dies from Mohinder and his gun); Sylar looks around for the half-dead Mohinder, but he's crawled down to the basement of the Company where he's keeping HRG to give his bloody and repentant regret;  as he appears to die, he frees HRG;  Sylar blasts through the doors, but finds the room empty.   Meanwhile, Claire does something public -- really public, like spiking herself on a pole or more dive bombing with West.  As a crowd gathers... To Be Continued.

Or, maybe.. something like that.. Smiley

That is oddly specific.

I think Claire won't really go through with telling everyone. Her dad wouldn't want it, and she knows it.

I believe that perhaps Alejandro's power was like the Haitians maybe being one reason Sylar couldn't use his powers. I know he couldn't use them before meeting up with those two, but whatsherface that nursed him back to health may have been giving him drugs to subdue his powers.

My favorite moment was Hiro walking into Isaacs and seeing Nathan and screaming "Flying Man"

And I love that Nathan seems to be showing some kind of belief in all that is Heroes....its about time, I mean the guy can freaking fly and he doesnt believe anything?

What do you think it means that the symbol on the sword is the same symbol that has been recurring all season?

AND WHO IN THE BLOODY HELL IS LINDERMAN???

Man, this is getting good.....
