Tonight's the premiere episode.

It's Sci-Fi, so I'll give it a go.   Enjoyed the original V and V: The Final Battle miniseries.   The regular series kinda sucked though...and was short-lived.
Still hoping to see Juliet back on Lost...just to prevent the return of more "SKATEr" bullchit.

I am super psyched for this show, like, more than I've been psyched for a show in a LONG time. FlashForward was a huge letdown for me, so here's hoping this one's a lot better!

This show moves at Warp Speed!!   Ludicrous Speed for you Space Balls fans.   In the original mini-series, you didn't see green until well into the middle of the plot.   This is V for the modern American youth, the majority of which are afflicted with ADHD and arthritis in the fingers.  Tongue

The pilot was good enough to keep me watching to see how it unfolds.

It is great to see Morena Baccarin in a starring role again.
I'm not a fan of the short hair but I can see why they did it.
Looking like Inara it would be hard for Anna to pull off the Evil lizard commander.

Do you think Anna will eat a Guinea Pig like Diana did in the original? See video below for reference.

At least the special effects would be more realistic these days  Wink

I will be interested to see what direction the writers take the series.
The original was an allegory for Nazi occupation of Europe before and during WW2.
I was expecting terrorism and events since 911 to influence the modern retelling of V
but from what they've shown so far it is sticking to the original story.

SPOILER WARNING below: (If you haven't seen the pilot)

I am going to expect Alan Turdyk to be a baddie every time I see him now.
This is the second role in a row he has fooled me. (Alpha in Dollhouse being the other)

My mom actually knew the girl who played Dr. Parrish on the original (Faye Grant). They graduated high school together, so we were watching the old miniseries on the Syfy channel a couple weeks ago (which was horrible).

I checked out the first episode, which wasn't that horrible, but I really despise that Laura Vandervoort person, so that was distracting. Also the Alan Tudyk thing ... /spoiler/ why can't he just be nice again?! lol

I'm wrong? Is that not her name? lol It's not that I hate the character, its just one of those... I couldn't say why but I just dislike the actress. I had the same problem with her on Smallville too, although that may be more due to the fact that her role didn't really seem to have a purpose on there.

You're wrong because she looks great in less clothes. It has nothing to do with her acting "skill" lol
